Goku Raku Ramen, Paradigm Mall Food Review

I once tried Goku Raku Ramen (or GRR for short) with my best friend before where he told me that the ramen they served were according to his taste. And so, with his testament, I went to the Paradigm Mall outlet with him to have a taste of it.
I can't remember what I ordered during that venture but I knew the taste were a little too salty for me.

Now with renewed vigor, I once again revisited GRR this time for a food review process.

We started off with the Ultimate Miso Tonkotsu that costs RM23.90 for a Regular sized bowl:
This taste exactly what I had the last time around so I guess I had the Ultimate Miso too the last time around. Ramen in Miso broth soup with lava eggs, spring onions, pork belly and chashu and seaweed. It's still too salty for my taste but then again that's how Japanese ramen are. The taste seemed to be better than the last time I was here but then again I remember adding some spices to it during my previous visit which could be the reason of the killed taste at that time. Ramen tasted nice and soft and eating it hot makes it delicious.

We next went with the Curry Tonkotsu, RM22.90 for a Regular bowl:
The flavor of the curry was underwhelming. This probably was because of the cream milk mixed into it which soften the taste very much and makes it smoother. Well, unlike the Japanese curry taste which is sweet and has a strong flavor, this lacks of it. Overall, it still taste okay.

We were also given this Collagen and Spicy Miso to try with our Ramen when we were having the Miso and the Curry Tonkotsu Ramen.
Plonking the Collagen into the soup, it dissolves slowly into it. It has a very weak taste but when added with the soup, it enhances it a little. The Spicy Miso does the same thing to the soup as well. 2 pieces of Collagen comes to the price of RM2.90 while the Spicy Miso costs an additional RM2.

Feeling a little bit full, we moved on to some appetizers first before continuing with a rice dish.

The Kakuni Pork is the favorite thing I had for the night.
Priced at RM13.90, there's 3 pieces on top of vegetables and it seems to me to be saffrons on top of those Pork. But of course, it taste great on it's own without any condiments needed.

There's also the Utsunomiya Age Gyoza that we tried:
It's priced at RM14.90 for a large dish and these are Japanese deep-fried dumplings with minced pork in it.

After a while of rest, we were ready to tackle the rice dish and in came the Stamina Curry Rice (RM17.90):
Like the Curry Tonkotsu, the flavor of the Curry on this dish was weak as well. You don't really get the sweet Japanese Curry taste that forceful. As you can see, it's loaded with stuff on top of the rice.

We lastly had the Crème Brûlée for dessert:
I find it odd to have Crème Brûlée on the menu of a Japanese restaurant but nevertheless it was a nice dessert. Is it worth the RM5.90 for it? If you crave for dessert, then yes.

Goku Raku Ramen at Paradigm Mall is located at:
Lot 2F 26 & 2F 27,
Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya, Petaling Jaya.

Opening Hours:
Since it's at Paradigm Mall, it should be the same as the Mall's opening at closing times.
