Rendezvouz Corner, SS15, Subang Jaya Food Review

Rendezvous Corner is located at a busy area where the college nearby thrives and eateries are aplenty.
It's placed at a corner as their name indicates and looks great on it's outdoor settings.

Their lunch menu and dinner menu differs slightly where the dinner menu offers a more heavier and scrumptious meal while the lunch menu is lighter but still offers the same great taste to it's customers.

This here is the Hi Tea Set 2 (RM20.80):
It contains four chocolate chip cookies on the highest tier, 4 mini cupcakes on the middle tier and 4 normal sized cupcakes at the bottom row with Teh Tarik, Milo, Black Forest and Red Velvet as provided flavors. Cupcakes are nice and fluffy and the frosting aren't too sweet to intake. The chocolate chip cookies of course will go well with your tea or coffee.

These are Escargot (RM11.80):
It's served in a quantity of 6 where it sits on top of an oozing, cheesy sauce. Despite it's look of the escargot swimming in cheese, the sauce isn't as cheesy as I thought it would be. It was just perfect for accompanying the escargot. A very nice to eat dish.

Another appetizer is the Potato Skin (RM7.80):
Where on top again looks to have a lot of cheese flavor to it but it is just right in the balance of flavor with the baked potato.

This particularly is my favorite dish in this restaurant:
It's the Cheese Fondue Chicken. You can have it with fish if you prefer over chicken. Basically, whatever is on the plate, you just dip it into the cheese dip bucket and I love cheese. Even dipping it with the broccoli and carrots proved wonderful what's more the chicken, the potato and the bun. Priced at RM16.80, it's a steal. Same price for the fish version.

A similar dish as the one above is the Satay Fondue Chicken (RM15.80):
A chicken skewer served with usual satay side items, cucumber, onions and ketupat (rice cakes). As you can see, the sauce dip has a blob of red chili for spice. Unlike the cheese fondue, this is not what I like but then again, I am a person who has never enjoyed peanut sauce a lot anyway. But it was a decent effort put into the peanut sauce but needs fine tuning to up the level of satisfaction on it.

Fried Cheesy Chicken (RM15.80):
This proves to be another good dish. The ample amount of cheese inside the chicken that oozes out as you cut into it excites me and it certainly delivers in taste whenever you marry the chicken with the cheese. It taste quite like the dip in the cheese fondue to be frank. The sauce provided at the side does enhance it a bit when you dip the chicken into it but I prefer not to.

The Sweet and Sour Icy Chicken Rice (RM9.80):
Presentation-wise may be a little out of the ordinary by putting it the sweet and sour chicken on ice but in terms of taste, it still taste like your usual sweet and sour chicken, just that it's a cold dish instead of a hot one. I find that due to the chicken being immersed in ice, it seems to have toughen up the chicken a bit and it's not as pleasant to chew into. Taste-wise is okay.

Cheese Macaroni (RM11.80):
It is what it is, Mac and Cheese and with a hot dog. It's okay I guess but if I were to have it my way, I would make it more cheesy and less bland in taste.

For dessert, we had the Chocolate Lava Cake (RM6.80):
It may not be the best lava cake I had but it's good. Especially for the price of RM6.80, it's a bargain and it's worth it. A crisp outer layer with the inner fillings of chocolate sauce.
