Royal Gourmet, Première Hotel, Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang Food Review

Well, I wouldn't exactly call it a food review. It's more like a food adoration session at the Royal Gourmet Chinese Restaurant:
Located at a Hotel name Première Hotel in Klang, it was the first time I ventured into the territory driving:
The place looks a little upper-class with swanky looking decorations and ambiance, makes me feel a little more important than usual. LOL.

We started off with a delicious double boiled soup:
Hot and nutritious, it's called the "Double Boiled Black Chicken Soup with Chinese Herbs". Inside it contain black chicken that still preserve it's taste when I chew at it and some kind of an edible black fungus mushroom which it's much crunchier instead of chewy. Besides that, there are also red dates in it and full of herbal taste and goodness.

The Steamed Sea Grouper in Village Style:
Loads of side ingredients piled on top to go with the fish but still it doesn't overshadow it's fine taste and I love the minimal bones in it making eating it without stopping to "fish" out the bones a pleasure. Besides, that's one of the reasons why I rarely eat fish, because of it's many bones. LOL.

Stir Fried Baby French Bean with Top Shell:
Beans feel real fresh and the top shell provides a bit of a chew. However, in this case, I actually prefer the greens more than the top shell. Weird in my books but true.

Here's something I have not eaten in awhile which I miss:
Minced meat! To be exact, this is Steamed Minced Chicken with Salted Fish. Yes, chicken! Usually, this is done with pork but they chose chicken instead and we didn't even realized the difference. The two eggs on top makes it more unique but taste-wise, I don't feel the difference. Nevertheless, I always welcome eggs since it's something I love eating. The meat feels a little too salty for my taste due to the salted fish but was fine for the others. I guess I'm usually more used to the taste of a little less saltier. It's still good going with the rice.

Next dish savored was the Baked Lamb Rack with Chef Special Sauce:
Lamb was succulent and really tasty with it's special sauce. Pity I didn't manage to capture a much captivating picture as I feel the one above didn't do it much justice.

We ended it with this dessert called Double Boiled Saussurea Involucrate with Snow Fungus and Red Dates:
A rather long name. This dessert tastes good and is served hot to us. It's sweet to a certain extent where the marvelous treasures in it just got me curiously digging up with my spoon towards my mouth, quite an appealing dessert which is good to the last drop. :)

Meet Chef Johnson:
He's the person that makes all those dishes that we ate possible. He's also the person in charge of all the Chinese food in Première Hotel and his specialty of cooking leans towards more of Home-cooked/Village type Chinese food as reflected in some of the dishes that we had earlier. A big thank you to him and the staff for allowing me to have such a lovely delectable feast. I certainly had tasted some nice unique dishes during my grubbing there.

Royal Gourmet is located at the Lower Ground floor of Première Hotel.
