The Watch (2012) Movie Review

Ben Stiller is one of my favorite comedian actors right after Adam Sandler.

The Watch starred him as one of the main actors where he stars as Evan Trautwig, who lives in a quiet town of Glenview, Ohio. He's very much involved in the community where apart from forming a few clubs including a neighborhood running club and a Spanish club, he's also worked his way up into being the manager of the local Costco store.

As usual, one night, his night security guard for the store came in to work where he is now officially an American citizen. When Evan leaves his security guard to his work and heads off from the store, the security guard was having a party on his own in the store when suddenly, the power went off in the store. He checks it out on the main power switch but nothing happens and that's when he hear noises around the store. When he went to investigate it, he was horrified and was brutally murdered.

Evan found out about the brutal murder the next morning when he arrived at the store and this has fired him up to establish a neighborhood watch team. During the football game's half time at their local arena, Evan urged people to attend to his call which the meeting will be held at his home.

Only 3 men answered his calling which consists of:
1) Bob. A father who's had the burden of responsibility of her daughter but also a very cool guy who has ideas of a fun time.
2) Franklin. A person who always wanted to join the police force but had failed all his tests and thinks the neighborhood watch is a good alternative.
3) Jamarcus. A British fellow who acts very normal and has an afro hairstyle.

With the neighborhood watch established, Evan is set out to find out who killed his security guard brutally and capture him. As they investigate further, they found more and more strange things and pretty soon found out that there were aliens amongst them.

The show was hilarious but in a way, it's also forgettable. There weren't enough memorable moments to make this movie to straightaway associate Ben Stiller to it like how 50 First Dates did to Adam Sandler for me. It's still a funny movie and I wish there weren't so many censorship in the movie which decreases the value to watch it. I rate this movie 3 stars out of 5.

The problem with it is there's too many censorship and there are other better movies to spend your money with. If you've already watched the rest of the great movies then it's still an okay watch

I think it would be better with the DVD since there's so many censorship in the cinemas.
