Feel Healthy and Live Smoke-Free with

I'm sure everyone has heard of anti-smoking ads one way or another and I'm sure most would agree with me that it doesn't do much to deter smokers from having a puff of tobacco. To me, I feel that this is a personal decision on whether or not to smoke but it takes willpower to quit smoking as once you've started, the addiction grows on you.

I don't hate smokers. But I do hate the smell of cigarette smoke.
Although at times I'm tempted to do so due to stress, but in the end, so far I've managed to avoid smoking at all.

So the Sunday before the one that went by, I went for a gathering with regards to quit smoking organized by Pfizer. Although my usual Sundays involves me getting intimate with my bed, I decided to lend my support to this cause and have a little fun along the way.

The place that held the occasion was at:

Sheraton Imperial KL, a hotel which I've never been in ever and is a great chance to have a look around as well.

Due to the heavy traffic along Dataran Merdeka where the road was closed for a cycling event, I arrived fairly late where I only gobbled 2 of these delicious looking pastries in order not to be rude in missing the short speeches line up:

Anyway, back to this topic: is a website that was established to help smokers who wants to quit smoking. As I wrote earlier, smoking is an addiction and quitting is not easy in addition to the main ingredient....the desire to quit.

So what are the benefits of quitting tobacco?
Well, besides the age old reason that lots of people nags about, lung cancer, heart disease, all kinds of sicknesses, here's an interesting look to it:
it saves you........MONEY!

Yes, cigarettes aren't cheap with RM10 a pack as of current and coming along with it's grotesque images on it's pack, with the amount of money you can save with it, you can get yourself a nice gift or gadget!

I won't drone on and on on the effects of smoking and what not. For that, please head on to for more helpful resources on how to quit smoking. Let's take a look at what fun we did during the event, shall we?

From where I left off, the delectable pastries that were laid out for our consumption:

Dr. Nathan provided us with the introduction:

Dr. Zarihan Zain from the Ministry of Health giving her insights on smoking:

Here's a breathalyzer test to find out the toxicity of Carbon Monoxide in your body (not Isaac, the device he's trying):

I had a level of 0. See, shows that I'm not a smoker. :P

Anyway, non-smokers should produce a level of below 7 but 5 or 6 IS pretty high to a non-smoker I should say.

A test to determine how addicted to nicotine are you:

If you're a smoker, you can actually take that quiz which is available in website here:
Be honest, ya.
Here's some nice ways to quit smoking, exercise! With a Wii. LOL.

Golfing anyone? Mini-putting that is.

Yes, exercising should be one of the ways to lead a healthier way of living and a way to help curb smoking:

We also had massages and here's Nana having her turn:

All in all, it's not easy to quit smoking, but never give up! The only time that you should give up is when you give up smoking. Gambatte!
