Just Go With It (2011) Movie Review

Thanks to Cia Wei I get to catch the movie Just Go With It early on Monday, March 28, 2011.

This show is a romantic comedy starring funny guy Adam Sandler and funny gal Jennifer Aniston.

At a young age, Danny (Adam Sandler), was about to get married but while outside the bride's room, he overheard the bride talking to her bridesmaids that he wasn't the actual choice of her but just so the guy she fancies turned her down. Upon knowing this, he ran off from marriage.
While at a local bar, he discovered that having a wedding ring is a powerful way of getting the girls without being hurt. He'll make up sob stories to get the girls in bed.

Fast forward 20 years later, Danny being a successful plastic surgeon has changed his looks for the better and is still doing the ring and fake marriage stories.

One day, while at a party, he took his ring off to treat a boy who got hurt. That's when he met a really beautiful woman whom he charmed without the ring. After a night together, the woman, Palmer (played by Brooklyn Decker), discovered his ring and she was furious about it.

Desperate to win her heart back because he thinks that she's the woman that he wants as the partner for life, he creates a sob story that he's getting divorce and that's when Palmer wants to meet her.

Unable to tell her the truth, he ropes in his assistant, Katherine (Jennifer Aniston), to pretend to be his soon-to-be divorced wife.
After an encounter with each other, one thing led to another which leads them deeper and deeper into lies and ended up with a trip to Hawaii along with Danny's cousin, Eddie (Nick Swardson), and Katherine's two kids, Maggie (Bailee Madison) and Michael (Griffin Gluck).

I always love Adam Sandler's shows which are funny and with a human touch to tug on the emotional strings. So far the Adam Sandler's movie that I like the most is 50 First Dates (and still is) but this one is also a nice watch for couples.

Personally, I'd give this a 3.5 stars out of 5.
