Valentine Dinner Preview at Holiday Villa

While everyone is in a festive mood for Chinese New Year, I on the other hand, had a look at another kind of festivity - Valentine's Day.

Yes, it's fast approaching and thanks to Rebecca of www.rebeccasaw.com, she invited me to join the Advertlets bloggers to preview a sumptuous Valentine's dinner provided by the generous people at Holiday Villa Hotel & Suites in Subang.

Arrived at approximately 7:05pm on the first day of February, 2011, I was greeted by a lovely setup awaiting us.

The presentation of the menu rolled up looking like a certificate

Once the majority had arrived, the feast begins with some bread and butter to whet our appetites.

Started off with this dish:

It's Grilled Unagi Onigiri on the left and Golden Almond Flake Stuffed Scallop cake with Fish paste at the center served with Yuzu Orange mayo in the glass with the lemon on top and a side of wasabi at where the sushi is.

Next up in our carefully-selected menu is a soup.

Guess what's the soup?

Still unsure of what it is?
It's Double Boiled Chinese Style Chicken Froth and a Komomoto Oyster with Lychee Jam on top.
A generous chunk of chicken in the soup and the oyster has a unique taste served with jam on top.

Next is onward towards the main course.
I took this:

This is the Vietnamese Style rack of Lamb and Salmon Fillet.
The sauce that goes with the lamb is delicious. The salmon's a bit dry for my taste but palatable and the portion is just right to fill me.

Another option for the main course is:

Beef Medaglione Al Forno with Mushroom Ragout, Reduction of Berries Balsamice and Raisin Bordelaise Sauce. The meat is quite juicy.
And last but not least, the dessert:

It's chocolate cheese mousse and strawberry with caramelized granny smith apple.

Here's the chef that made our dinner:

Those food items that were savored are available as Valentine Set Dinner at Cibo Ristorante Italiano and The Inn of Four Seasons Chinese Restaurant respectively. Both are located at Holiday Villa, Subang.
Here are the full set Valentine Dinner menu at the restaurants (click to enlarge):
Cibo Ristorante Italiano

**Priced at RM140 per person with a glass of premium wine per person and door gifts for ladies. Available on the 13 and 14 February 2011**

The Inn of Four Seasons Chinese Restaurant

The Palm Terrace Coffeehouse will have the Buffet of Love which will be priced at RM98 per person.

After our meal, we went up to have a look at the hotel rooms at the place.
On the way towards the hotel room, there's a corridor with windows overlooking the swimming pool.

A peek towards the inside of the Corporate Executive Suite:

A full interior view:

The Corporate Deluxe Room:

And the Corporate Deluxe Twin which is exactly the same as the Corporate Deluxe room just that it's with twin beds.
