I wanna watch Toy Story 3

Everybody loves a great sappy love story, especially girls (that's why a lot of guys like to watch it as well, haha).

But I'm a bit down and out on love stories for the moment. I just felt a sense of uneasiness and tiredness over lovey-dovey stories for the time being. So the only thing to look forward to is your toys and gadgets to keep you occupied. Therefore, I look forward to watch the upcoming new installment of Toy Story 3.

There'll be many new toys featured in this brand new story. And there are a few that I look forward to seeing namely:

Chunk

Ken

Mr. Pricklepants and

Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear.

With their escapade to make their great escape from a daycare center, I certainly look forward to enjoy a great time watching this show. And unlike my sappy love story, there's a happy ending to this one. :P

Why Smartphones can be Dumbphones

Villains:
Definition to it would be an evil character or an enemy of a hero.
Synonym to it would include a criminal, a felon, a baddie, a nasty.

We oftentimes hear this and term this in movies, novels and any fictional works of literature or films but never have we called a person in real life a villain before (even though a real life criminal with no qualms of committing his heinous crimes has brought us to dastardly call him so).

Actually, we do have real life villains roving amongst us and these enemies intend to inhibit our phones' intelligence and turn them into dumbphones. Dumb, moronic, useless phones.
It doesn't matter if you're using an iPhone

a blackberry

or my Nokia MusicXpress. -.-

No matter what it is you're using, it'll turn your phone back to the basic phone in the likes of Nokia 3210.

But how does this villain do it? How does he dumb down an intelligent device?
Listen carefully! I'm gonna unveil his evil plan and if I don't live to see another day, please spread the word on!

By charging heaven and earth for Internet access with your phone and pretty soon, you'll be too scared to access the function of your phone and will be no more than a paperweight or a decoration piece.

Lucky for us there emerge a hero in our midst to combat this awful villain. His name is DG Smart Plan, the smarter plan for smartphones. From a low price of just RM68/month, you get to enjoy unlimited Internet access with your smartphones.

For further information on it, head on down to: http://digi.com.my/smartplan

Our smartphones depend on it!

HP Blog-A-Trend Dinner

Last month on April 26, 2010, I attended the HP Blog-A-Trend prize giving ceremony dinner.
The venue was at Alexis, The Gardens.
Lot f209, First Floor,
The Gardens, Mid Valley City, Lingkara Syed Putra
59200 KL.

I loved the display of wine bottles neatly stacked up.

When I arrive the event has yet to be setup. Everybody was sitting around and waiting.

All neatly sat in a row as they await for the people of HP to setup finish on the designated area. :D They were busy playing away on their phone games trying to outdo each other. LOL.

I bet most people were stuck in heavy traffic out there.
When I was on my way to the Gardens, there was a massive traffic that came to a standstill over near Section 17 at Jalan University. According to paper's, it was due to a sinkhole occuring.
http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2010/4/27/nation/6139117&sec=nation

Good thing I saw that it was at a standstill and manage to make a U-turn and detour to another route. Otherwise, I'd be stuck for hours there. :P

They served me my Carrot Juice as I await for the event to start.

Despite the many people who has yet to arrive, they went ahead and start off the event since it's already almost an hour delay.
They started off with a presentation from HP:

Then the Market Development Manager of HP, Lee Kum Weng (if I'm not mistaken that's him) made a welcoming speech.

After speeches, dinner is served!
Started off with the Wild Mushroom Soup with White Truffle Oil.

That's a side of garlic bread to go with it. This is one of the biggest starter bowl of soup I've ever been given with. Then for the main course, I chose the Chicken Escalope with Rocket & Roasted Cherry Tomatoes.

Ooh, so those leaves are called Rockets. They also served the meal with a choice of white wine or red wine. Wootz! Fine dining.

Michelle and Jestina on the other hand, ordered Seafood Spaghettini with Roma Tomatoes and Fresh Herbs.

And finally, dessert. Peach and Banana Crumble:

We were also asked if we'd like coffee or tea but due to the immense portion of the starter, I skipped the coffee/tea.
And then comes the prize giving ceremony.
Started off with the winners of Future Is bloggers. First is Dustyhawk

Urgh. Blur pic. Next was Alice Phua,

and followed by the adorable Vivien

Each of them won an HP Mini by Studio Tord Boontje.
Then moving on, Blog-A-Trend winners.
Started off with Doria:

Then the 2nd Consolation Prize winner Aini

Erm. That's not Aini. That's David accepting on behalf of her while she attends to her child.
And the Grand Prize winner Mr. & Mrs. Imran

They each also won an HP Mini by Studio Tord Boontje with the exception of the Grand Prize winner where they got an HP TouchSmart600 PC.

And that was it for the evening after some mingling. Some good food, great company and a heck load of prizes to envy over.

Movies: Furry Vengeance, Iron Man 2

Recently I've been on a movie spree and there's more to come.
The most recent ones that I've watched are Furry Vengeance and Iron Man 2.

The Furry Vengeance screening that I saw was on May 6th, 2010 at Cineleisure Damansara.

The film is a comedic movie that spews forth loads of laughter.

The movie is about Dan Sanders (played by Brendan Fraser) who relocated his family to a suburban area temporarily in order to construct a housing area under the orders of his boss. Little did he know, by doing so, he is threatening the homes of the animals of the forest there.

The animals, led by a cheeky and smart raccoon decided to take action in order to protect their habitat. Their plan was to make Dan's life a living hell till he abandons the project and leaves. Hilarity ensued with all of the mischief the raccoon was plotting against Dan and Dan, his obsession to wage war against the raccoon.

Personally, I feel that this movie is better than watching Iron Man 2 which was a very anticipated movie at the cinemas. And the girls just love those adorable furry looking creatures in the movie. :P

My rating for this movie would be a 3.5 stars out of 5.

As for Iron Man 2, I was invited to the preview screening on April 29, 2010.

It's actually a Charity Movie Screening on about the Haiti earthquake situation.
I didn't attend the pre-movie event though. I heard that there were celebrities and stuff like that endorsing on the charity.

Anyway, the movie although was supposed to start at 9.30pm, it started of around 9.45pm-10pm (can't quite remember. Just knew it was late because I was. LOL).
This was due to the pre-movie event which ended late (or that's what I heard). First time I go for a movie which started real late from it's time. haha. But then again, it's a preview screening.

If you're still stuck in Mars and wondering what's Iron Man 2 is about, Iron Man 2 is the continuation of the movie Iron Man in which Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.) had already announced to the world his identity as Iron Man.

In Iron Man 2, he is being pushed by the government to hand over his invention so that the government can produce copies of his suit to use as a weapon for the government. While thwarting off the government's effort on this was not a problem for him, his toxic poisoning resulting from his suit's power source is. On top of that, he has to face powerful, brainy enemies but with the help of the advice of Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson), Tony was able to produce a better power source which solves his toxic level problems by revisiting his father's ideas.

Iron Man 2 was fairly entertaining but lacks the pizazz of an action film. The villain was too easy to be put down (not to mention stupid for such a genius) as their confrontation merely lasts for seconds everytime they meet.

To me Iron Man 2 is an okay movie. Worth to watch once. I give it 3 stars out of 5.

So between Iron Man 2 and Furry Vengeance, I'd say Furry Vengeance is a better watch.

Next movie: On Monday, Robin Hood.
On Wednesday, Bounty Hunter. :D
