Takers (2010) Movie Review

Monday, October 25, 2010. That's the night I went for the Takers movie preview.
It was yesterday night and it was a really weird night for me. Went to Brotzeit to get my tickets from Blup Blup team, ate there with a bunch of people from Advertlets and met and say hi to the people from Nuffnang at the cinema entrance. LOL. Anyway, about the movie:

Warning: May contain spoilers in this review.

Gordon Jennings (Idris Elba) leads his band of veteran bank robbers, John Rahway (Paul Walker), A.J (Hayden Christensen), Jake Attica (Michael Ealy) and Jesse Attica (Chris Brown) to a life of luxury with successful heists.
When along comes Ghost (Tip T.I. Harris), a former member of Gordon's team who was arrested 5 years ago but was now a free man. He went back to find his former members and proposes a heist of a lifetime where all they need to do is one last job for the rest of their life.

While they plot on their grand heist, police officer Jack Welles (Matt Dillon) were investigating them and getting closer to catching them.

The day of the grand heist came and although there were some hiccups, they still manage to pull it off successfully. Gordon and his crew thought that the last thing to do were to ride off into the sunset on a private plane. Unfortunately, they discovered that they were setup by Ghost who planned to make off with all the money leaving Gordon and his gang fighting with the Russian mob whom Ghost has agreed to get them half the money if they kill off his former teammates.

I'm not sure about this movie. Its quite a blur to me. Action scenes were a mess and gives me a headache and there's not much variation to the plotline. It just sticks to the original plotline all the way and everything's quite predictable.
However, girls would look at this movie in a rather approving way, LOL. Many had told me of the abundance of yumminess of good looking men in suit in the movie. My other guy friends find it quite ok too. But don't know why, this just doesn't tickle my fancy.

But seeing as to how it might be just me that don't quite like the movie, I'll just put it as 2.5 stars out of 5 stars.
