The Other Guys (2010) Review

Manage to catch the preview of The Other Guys yesterday thanks to Ellie Chee, Sony Pictures and Advertlets.

I can go like Hoooooooot!

Detective Allen Gamble (played by Will Ferrel) was a forensic accountant for the New York City police department. He was a real pencil pusher, a person who love the desk job instead of roaming the streets to get some action.

Will the guy on the 12 floor please pay up for the ice cream.

His partner Terry Hoitz (played by Mark Wahlberg) loves to try and be the hero and step into the limelight so when Christopher Danson (Dwayne Johnson) and PK Highsmith (Samuel L. Jackson), New York City's most famous and most sensational cops, wound up six feet under, Terry forced Allen to join in his escapade to be the next hero in town.

The stare down game. "Do I look handsome?"

Together, they uncover a large scam going around. Will they be the next heroes or will they be put down before they can do so?

Okay. I get the blanket and you get the water.

This movie is hilarious but still lack finesse like Date Night so I'm going to give it a 3.5 stars out of 5. Don't get me wrong. It's still a movie worth watching once but just ain't as satisfying as watching Date Night or Furry Vengeance.
